Drinking St. George’s Hall

Supported by

We celebrated St. George’s Hall’s unique live music heritage of Rock ‘n’ Roll, Bhangra, and Bassline through a soundscape, set, and three ‘live’ water kefir drinks with flavours inspired by these stories. We collaborated with Cultures in Saltaire to create our bespoke bubbly drinks:

The Sister Rosetta - raspberry and rose
Bhangra Bubbles - mango kulfi
Bassline Banger - rhubarb, pimento and ginger

Playing on the ‘live’ element of this playful installation, we captured the sounds of the drinks as they were brewing, and commissioned local sound artists to sample with them live as part of the event. On the day, we had experimental live music from:

Richard Knight
Dan McGlade
Dipak Mistry
Gilank
Geraldine Snell
